What we do

Four ways we move people

Every job is quoted from a survey of your actual rooms, access and parking, so the plan matches the home rather than a generic package.

House moves

Whole-home relocations with room-by-room planning, furniture dismantling and reassembly in the right place at the other end.

Apartments & walk-ups

Tight stairwells, lift bookings and narrow landings. We measure the awkward turns before the day so nothing stalls on the third floor.

Packing & materials

Boxes, tissue, wardrobe cartons and tape delivered ahead of time, or a packing crew that handles the whole house for you.

Storage handovers

Gap between keys? We load, inventory and deliver into your storage unit, then collect it again when your new place is ready.

Included as standard

What you get on every booking

01 Protected walkways

Floor runners, banister padding and doorway guards go down before the first box moves.

02 Labelled inventory

Each carton is numbered and assigned to a destination room, so unpacking has an order.

03 Wrapped furniture

Sofas, tables and cabinets travel blanket-wrapped and strapped, not stacked loose.

04 Reassembly on arrival

Beds, wardrobes and dining tables go back together before the crew leaves the site.

05 A named move lead

One person owns your schedule from the survey through to the final walkthrough.

06 Written, itemised quote

Hours, crew size, vehicle and materials listed in full before you agree to anything.

How it works

From first message to the last box

  1. STEP ONE

    Tell us about the move

Send the quote form with your dates, both addresses and roughly how much home there is. We reply with questions only if something needs clarifying.

  2. STEP TWO

    Survey and written quote

A walkthrough, in person or by video, settles crew size, vehicle and packing needs. You receive an itemised quote with the hours and materials spelled out.

  3. STEP THREE

    Packing week

Materials arrive, or our packers work room by room in the days before. Fragile items, artwork and electronics are crated and logged separately.

  4. STEP FOUR

    Moving day and unpack

The crew loads, drives, unloads to the labelled rooms, reassembles the furniture and walks the home with you before signing off.

Our crews

Trained packers, not a different van each time

Olive Line runs small permanent crews rather than day labour. The team that surveys your home is the team that shows up, which is why the plan on paper matches what happens in the hallway.

  • Every packer is trained on glassware, mirrors and flat-pack disassembly before working alone.
  • Keys, remotes and hardware go into one sealed box that travels in the cab, not the load.
  • Anything damaged in our care is reported to you the same day and handled in writing.

Where we work

City flats, suburb runs and regional relocations

Most of our week is spent on city and inner-suburb moves, where access and parking do most of the planning. We also take longer regional jobs with an overnight leg, and we will say so honestly if a move sits outside what we can do well.

  • Single-day local moves, loaded and unloaded the same afternoon.
  • Multi-day regional moves with a sealed, inventoried overnight load.
  • Partial moves, single-item carries and studio handovers.

Tell us about your move

Fill in what you know. A move coordinator replies with either a written quote or a short list of questions — usually within one working day.

We use these details to prepare your quote and nothing else. No deposit is taken at this stage.

Questions

Before you book

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable for a local move, and longer if you need a month-end date or a regional run. Booking opens eight weeks ahead. If your timing is tighter than that, send the form anyway — cancellations open up often.

Do you take a deposit?

Not to hold a survey or receive a quote. A booking deposit is only discussed once you have the written quote and have agreed to a date, and the amount is stated on that quote rather than decided later.

What about fragile or unusual items?

Mirrors, artwork, instruments, screens and glass tops are wrapped and crated separately and logged on their own inventory line. Tell us about pianos, safes, aquariums or very large furniture in the form so the survey plans for the right equipment.

Who arranges parking and lift access?

We tell you exactly what the crew needs — a bay length, a loading window, a booked service lift — and you confirm it with your building or council. The survey flags this early so nothing is left to moving morning.

Can I reschedule after booking?

Yes. Chains slip and completion dates move, so we hold flexibility for that. Let your move lead know as soon as you can and we will look for the nearest slot that keeps the same crew on your job.
